Who We Are

Roberts Harbor Farm is a certified organic, salt-water farm serving the community of Vinalhaven, Maine. This is our sixth season in operation. We continue to be profoundly grateful for the support of this extraordinary community. We truly can’t do it without you.

What We Offer

We grow vegetables, fruit, and flowers. We market additional items in our farm store too including gifts, notecards, and syrup from our friends in Lincoln, VT. In the spring, we provide seedlings and hanging baskets in our nursery. There’s also the special experience of coming to the farm. Come visit to see how we raise food for our community.

Farm Practices & Commitment to Soil Health

We are certified organic by the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association (MOFGA). We follow NOP guidelines. Our seeds are started on the farm and are certified organic, non-GMO verified, whenever possible.

One of our principal goals is to create and maintain optimal soil health to support dependable, sustainable production of nutritious food for generations to come. To improve soil fertility, we use organic compost and cover crops. We monitor soil integrity with regular testing at the Maine Agricultural and Forest Experiment Station (MAFES) Analytical Laboratory.
